Thirlmere Festival of Steam

For over 30 years, the annual Thirlmere Festival of Steam has been held in March to mark the opening of steam season. In 2023, the village will fire up once again for a weekend of family fun and entertainment; it’s a premier event for the train enthusiast too.

This year’s event is proudly brought to you by: Wollondilly Shire Council and Transport Heritage NSW, operators of the NSW Rail Museum.
